About Us

InsulPro is a New Zealand owned and operated manufacturer of polyester thermal and acoustic insulation.  We supply the local New Zealand market and export a range of insulation products for the home or commercial building.

We are proud to be New Zealand made and supporting New Zealand by creating warmer, healthier homes and buildings as well as investing in research and development.  We have manufacturing facilities in Auckland and Milton, near Dunedin.

Creating better environments

We are passionate about protecting the environment and strive to ensure that we are creating better environments in everything that we do from taking waste plastic bottles and creating warmer homes, to effective manufacturing processes to ensuring energy efficiency and waste reduction, through to producing ceiling, wall and underfloor insulation that is 100% recyclable. Our sustainability journey is a continual process of learning - we are now the world's first carboNZero certified insulation manufacturer and the world's first polyester insulation declared Red List Free.

Our investment in cutting-edge research and development is ongoing. We test and develop products at the University of Auckland, at BRANZ (Building Research Association of New Zealand), and in conjunction with other researchers and industry leaders. Our specialist polyester insulation manufacturing plant is regularly upgraded to ensure we can pass on the benefits of new technology. Our newest Auckland plant, commissioned in early 2010, allows InsulPro to maximize the amount of recycled fibres used in production.

Manufacturing capabilities

InsulPro’s product range is 100% New Zealand made. Three specialist insulation plants make the Mammoth range of insulation from imported high quality polyester, including polyester fibres made from recycled plastic bottles.
InsulPro have the only airlay manufacturing plant in Australasia that produces friction fit sections and panels that self-support into wall, ceiling and underfloor cavities - removing the requirement for strapping or staples and ensuring the product doesn't slump over time.
We believed these product to have superior insulation performance qualities, so we had some of the wall sections independently tested.  They outperformed construction (system) R-values set out in the BRANZ House Insulation Guide.
